Select a word or a paragraph in any app on your Mac, press one shortcut, and the translation appears right over what you were reading. No copying, no second window, no losing your place. Bubble Translate has been on the Mac App Store since 2015. This version is written from scratch. HOW IT WORKS 1. Select text — in Safari, Mail, Xcode, Preview, Slack, anywhere. 2. Press your shortcut. 3. Read the translation in a bubble above the window. Press Escape and it's gone. Or use the second shortcut and Bubble Translate replaces the selected text with its translation, in place, in the app you are working in. Useful for the reply you are writing in a language you only half speak. WHAT'S INSIDE Translation that reads the sentence Bubble Translate doesn't look phrases up in a table. Its engine reads the whole sentence before it answers, so idioms stay idioms, tone survives, and long passages don't fall apart mid-paragraph. 100+ languages Every language you are likely to meet on a page, with the pair swapped automatically when the app detects you selected the wrong direction. Words you looked up come back Every unfamiliar word you translate goes into your word base. Bubble Translate shows it again later as a card, at the interval that spaced repetition says you are about to forget it. Words are graded by CEFR level, and the app mixes in new ones just above your current level. Read it out loud Hear any translation pronounced, at the speed you set. In the menu bar, out of the way A window for typing, your full translation history, and the language pickers — one click from the menu bar. Nothing in the Dock unless you want it there.
